Gainesville’s first local radio station and one of the oldest in Florida, WRUF Sportsradio 850 serves 13 counties daily with six hours of locally-hosted sports talk shows featuring Steve Russell, Larry Vettel, and some of the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications’ finest sports students . The station also features Gator sports, Yahoo Sports Radio and NFL sports from Westwood One. WRUF Sportsradio 850 went on the air in 1928 and celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2008.
Gators Baseball Airs Three Games This Week; Lacrosse On Radio Too
The Gators baseball team ends the regular season with three games on the road and you can hear them all starting on Thursday night when Florida faces Auburn with air time at 7:00 pm on our sister station, Country 103-7 The Gator.
The Gators lacrosse team continues play in the NCAA Tournament Saturday when it hosts Penn State and you can hear that game live on WRUF Sports Radio 850 starting at 12:20pm.
