The Gator softball team earns the right to play for a national title by beating Alabama twice Sunday in the College World Series in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Florida buried their arch rivals, winning 16-2 and 9-2 and it will now face top seed Arizona State in a best two out of three setting to determine the national champion.
In the first game, Florida set a College World Series record by scoring 11 runs in the first inning and cruised to the win.
In the second game, the Gators again struck in the first inning as Kelsey Bruder hit a two run homer and Brittany Schutte followed with another homer to give Florida a lead it would not give up.
Florida would build a 9-0 lead and get yet another homer, this time from Aja Paculba, to send the Tide packing.
Florida is now 56-11 and will face Arizona State tonight; the game can be seen on ESPN2.
