USC Stripped Of 2004 BCS National Title

By WRUF Staff on June 7th, 2011

The USC Trojans have lost the 2004 BCS national championship they won on the college football gridiron.

The announcement did not come as much of a surprise after the NCAA ruled running back Reggie Bush received improper benefits during that season and he was ruled ineligible when he played.

USC was handed stiff sanctions by the NCAA and the school appealed to no avail. After that decision was made, the BCS made theirs and USC Athletic Director Pat Haden said the school would comply with all aspects mandated by the decision.

USC will not have to forfeit the championship awarded to them by the Associated Press.
