The Gator men’s and women’s track teams are continuing to compete today in the NCAA Championships being held in Des Moines, Iowa.

After light activity yesterday that included some field events and the finals in the women’s 10,000 meters, a lot of action is scheduled for today.

The Gator men’s team suffered a blow when Jeff Demps failed to qualify for the 100 meter final, which could cost the Gators some valuable scoring points. Demps, the defending outdoor champion in the event, was only 14th out of 24 qualifiers running this event.
