The Gator men’s and women’s track teams are still competing today in the NCAA Championship being held in Des Moines, Iowa.
However, weather was a factor and the competition was halted in the evening after lightning and heavy rains came in to the area.
However, there were some good results for Florida; sophomore thrower Jeremy Postin placed eighth to earn All America honors and junior Gray Horn is in fifth place in the men’s decathlon competition.
On the women’s side, junior Genevieve LaZaze broke her own school record in the steeplechase to advace to the finals in the event on Saturday. Freshman Brittany Harrell did well in the first day of the heptathlon as well, nearly matching her personal best score.
