Gordon Wins Rain Delayed NASCAR Race In Atlanta

Jeff Gordon became the third all time winningest driver in NASCAR history when he won the checkered flag Tuesday at the NASCAR stop in Atlanta.

The win was Gordon’s 85th, moving him past Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip for third place on the all time wins list and in winning this race, he beat out teammate Jimmie Johnson in a thrilling event.

Tony Stewart finishes third and Kurt Busch fourth. Stewart holds on to the 10th and final spot in the Chase For The Cup series with his finish in Atlanta. Nine drivers have already clinched spots in the Chase For The Cup series as Kurt Busch, Ryan Newman and Brad Keselowski wrap up spots because of their finishes Tuesday.
