World Series Game 7 Tonight After Wild Cardinal Win last Night

The 2011 World Series has come down to a seventh and deciding game in St.Louis tonight after a wild finish to Game 6 last night keeps the homestanding Cardinals alive.

Leading 7-4 late, Texas could not hold on to several leads and lost in extra innings 10-9 to set up tonight’s deciding game. The Rangers blew three save opportunities in the game, the first time that has ever happened in World Series play.

Despite a low national television audience, this World Series has seen about everything and it seems fitting it will go the distance. Outfielder Matt Holliday of the Cardinals has been removed from the roster and will not play tonight because of an finger injury he aggravated when he was picked off third base last night.
