The nationally ranked Gator men’s basketball team ran its record to 3-1 with a 78-65 win over Wright State in a game played in the St.Pete Times Forum.
The Gators raced out to an early lead but didn’t play particularly sharply in the second half despite getting the win. Florida had 15 turnovers in the game, mostly in the second half and it played a long stretch of the game without starting center Patric Young who took a poke in the eye. Bradley Beal and Kenny Boynton each scored 22 points to help the Gators get the victory.
Meanwhile the Gator women will host Hampton tonight in the O’Connell Center. Hampton was an NCAA Tournament team a year ago and is off to a 2-0 start this season.
