Denver Broncos quarterback and former Gator Tim Tebow threw an 80 yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Damaryius Thomas on the first play of overtime to lift Denver to a 29-23 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL playoffs on Sunday in Denver.
Tebow wasn’t particularly on target again Sunday, completing only 10 of 21 passes but he threw for 316 yards against the vaunted Steelers defense as the Broncos move on to face New England next Saturday on the road.
The other AFC matchup has Baltimore hosting Houston after the Texans win their first ever playoff game Saturday.
In the NFC, the home standing New York Giants rip Atlanta 24-2 to move on to a road game with the defending Super Bowl Champion Green Bay Packers. New Orleans, a winner over Detroit on Saturday, will now face San Francisco on the road in the other NFC game.
