Ole Miss And Georgia Pick Up SEC Men's Hoops Wins

The Ole Miss men’s basketball team celebrates a big win today over its in state rival Mississippi State after the Rebels knock off the 18th ranked Bulldogs 75-68 Wednesday in Oxford.

Reginald Buckner scored a career high 19 points while pulling down 15 boards to lead the Rebels to the win to move their record to 12-6 overall and to 2-2 in SEC play. Renardo Sidney pumped in 17 points for Mississippi State, now 15-4 and 2-2 in league play.

Meanwhile Georgia gets its first SEC win, beating Tennessee at home 57-53 in overtime. Neither team shot the ball well in the game but the Bulldogs had enough in the end to get the win as them advance to 10-8 overall and to 1-3 in the SEC while the Volunteers fall to 1-3 in league play as well.

Tonight in the SEC, Vanderbilt takes on Alabama.
