Gator Men’s Hoops Hosts Auburn Tonight

The Gator men’s basketball team tries for another SEC win tonight when it hosts Auburn; coverage starts at 5:30pm on WRUF Sports Radio 850 with our Countdown To Tipoff Show with game coverage starting at 6:25pm on Country 103-7 The Gator.

Florida comes off a 30 point road win at Arkansas while Auburn comes off a home win over recently struggling Mississippi State.

The leading scorers for Auburn are junior guard Frankie Sullivan and senior forward Kenny Gabriel who each average 12 points a game.   The Tigers are not a prolific scoring team but they do play very hard for coach Tony Barbee.

Gabriel leads them in rebounding at almost eight a game and he could be a tough matchup inside for the Gators tonight.   The Tigers also like to run when they have the opportunity so the Gators must get back in transition and play good defense.

Auburn is 14-12 overall and 4-8 in SEC play.
