Gators Set to Face Marquette in Sweet 16

The Florida men’s basketball team will take on the Marquette Golden Eagles in Phoenix, Arizona Thursday night for a Sweet 16 matchup in the NCAA Tournament.

Florida is in the West Region semifinal after defeating Virginia and Norfolk State in the second and third rounds of the tournament.  Marquette is coming off wins over BYU and Murray State.

If the Gators want to win this matchup they are going to have to find ways to contain Marquette seniors Darius Johnson-Odom and Jae Crowder; both are averaging over 17.5 points per game.

Florida head coach Billy Donovan knows his team has a tough test ahead of them.

The winner of Thurday nights game will move on to the Elite Eight where they will face either Michigan State or Louisville.
