#1 Florida Baseball Visits #16 Ole Miss

The top ranked Florida Baseball team is in action this weekend for a three game road series against the number 16 Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford.

The Gators are currently 5-1 against the SEC and 23-2 overall. Florida has won three straight games and is fresh off a 4-1 victory over Florida State on Tuesday March 27th in Jacksonville.

Ole Miss is 3-3 against the SEC and 18-7 overall. The Rebels have won three of their last four after losing three in a row.

The Florida-Ole Miss series will be the third of ten SEC series both teams will compete in. The Gators swept Vanderbilt at McKethan Stadium and then took two out of three against number six South Carolina in Columbia. The Rebels have had mixed results thus far in SEC play. Ole Miss lost their series with Auburn two games to one but then took two out of three against Alabama.

Ole Miss Head Coach Mike Bianco says he has great respect for Florida’s program and for Florida Head Coach Kevin O’Sullivan.

The Gators and Rebels have split the last four series. Florida won the 2008 and 2011 editions and Ole Miss took the 2009 and 2010 series. Coach Bianco says he believes his team can hang with the Gators this weekend.

You can catch all the action this weekend between the Gators and Rebels on Country 103-7 the Gator. Country 103-7 the Gator has you covered starting at 7:25pm on Friday, 2:25pm on Saturday and 1:25pm on Sunday.
