Gator Baseball Set To Begin Postseason Tuesday

The Gator baseball team begins postseason play on Tuesday when it plays Auburn in the SEC Tournament.   Country 103-7 The Gator will have live coverage starting at 5:30pm.

It is ironic that Florida plays Auburn as the Gators ended the regular season with a three game series at Auburn where Florida took two of three.   However, Auburn’s 5-4 win over Florida on Saturday cost the Gators a chance to be co-SEC champions with the LSU Tigers, who won the title outright after Florida and Kentucky lost on Saturday.

Ten teams are in the SEC Tournament this year, up two from previous years.   LSU and SEC East champion South Carolina will receive first round byes in the tournament.   Florida is the three seed.

Righty Jonathan Crawford is expected to start on the mound for Florida on Tuesday.
