Arizona Makes CWS Final; South Carolina Stays In The Hunt Too

The Arizona Wildcat baseball team still has not lost a postseason game.

At the College World Series Thursday, Arizona struck for six first inning runs on its way to a 10-2 pasting of Florida State to move the Wildcats to the finals of the CWS while the Seminoles are eliminated.

On the other side of the bracket, two time defending national champion South Carolina is still alive after winning a doublheader on Thursday.

The Gamecocks knocked out upstart Kent State 4-1 before playing again to defeat Arkansas 2-0.   Those two teams play tonight for the right to face former Gator coach Andy Lopez and his Arizona team in the CWS finals.
