A Closer Look At Florida’s Newest Men’s Basketball Commit For Class Of 2013

The Florida Gator men’s basketball team has received its third verbal commitment for its 2013 recruiting class from 6’9″ 233-pound power forward Schuyler Rimmer.  Rimmer, from Boone High School in Orlando, now joins point guard Kasey Hill and power forward Chris Walker in what is currently ranked as the number one recruiting class in the nation for 2013.  Rimmer says Hill’s and Walker’s decisions to commit to Florida definitely impacted his choice.

Appearing on ESPN Radio 850/900’s Cheap Seats sports talk show, Rimmer says he has already talked to Florida head coach Billy Donovan about what his role on the team will be.

Rimmer knows he still has a lot to improve on before he gets to campus.

The rising high school senior averaged 16.4 points, 13.1 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in his junior season. He also carries a 4.2 grade point average.
