The 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London are now officially closed and the United States wins the most medals.

The United States finishes with 104 medals; 17 more than China.   And the U.S. wins the most gold medals as well with 46.   Swimming and track athletes combined to win a staggering 60 medals for the USA.

Next up is the 2016 Summer Games to be hosted by Rio de Janeiro.
