The Gator football team may have gotten some bad news today.
Several media outlets are reporting today that Florida quarterback Jeff Driskell suffered a shoulder injury at practice today. Those reports have not been confirmed by Gator coach Will Muschamp or by anyone involved with the football program.
A statement released by the University of Florida Sports Information Department said that Gator coach Will Muschamp will discuss any injuries at his next media availability and that Driskell took reps at practice today and will take reps at practice tomorrow.
At Muschamp’s media availability Monday, he said somewhat surprisingly that the quarterback position might a position of concern saying he wanted the position to be a little more settled but added he has confidence in both Driskel and Jacoby Brissett.
USA Today quoted Driskel’s mother as saying he called her and told her he had injured his non throwing shoulder at practice. Sources told ESPN Radio 850/900 Tuesday night that Driskell hurt the shoulder during practice on Sunday after being knocked to the ground during practice.
