Rays Lose At Seattle And Marlins Lose To Phils In MLB

The Tampa Bay Rays see their seven game winning streak come to a halt Tuesday night when they lost at the Seattle Mariners 3-2.   The Rays are now tied with Baltimore for the first wild card spot in the American League after the Orioles top Boston 7-1.

In other AL games, Chicago downs Toronto 3-2 and Detroit beats Minnesota 8-4 to stay a game and a half out of the wild card lead.   Kansas City blanks Oakland 5-0; Los Angeles tops Cleveland 9-6 and Hiroki Kuroda throws a two hit shutout as New York blanks Texas 3-0.

In the National League, Atlanta downs San Diego 6-0 as Dan Uggla and Martin Prado homer for the Braves.   In other NL action, Philadelphia extends Miami’s scoreless streak to 27 innings with a 1-0 victory Tuesday.

Los Angeles pounds Pittsburgh 11-0; Cincinnati blanks New York 3-0; Houston rips Chicago 10-1; St.Louis stops Arizona 8-2; Colorado beats Milwaukee 8-6 and San Francisco cools off Washington 6-1.
