Braves Lose, So Do Marlins In MLB On Monday

The Atlanta Braves are beaten by the Milwaukee Brewers 4-1 Monday but the Braves don’t lose any ground in the wild card chase which they lead.

St.Louis lost 11-3 at San Diego so the Braves keep a five and a half game wild card lead.

In other National League action, Gio Gonzalez wins his 19th game as Washington downs New York 5-1; Philadelphia wins its fifth straight 3-1 over Miami; Colorado nips San Francisco 6-5 and Chicago tops Houston 4-1.

In the American League, Chicago beats Detroit 6-1 to open a three game lead on the Tigers on the AL Central.   Oakland is tied with Baltimore for the wild card lead after beating the LA Angels 3-1 and Minnesota downs Cleveland 7-2.
