A former Gator is done for the season in the NFL and two Monday Night Football games are in the books in our Tuesday Sports News And Notes…

** Former Gator and current Buffalo Bills receiver David Nelson will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in a loss Sunday to the New York Jets.

** The first week of the NFL season is now officially history after the Baltimore Ravens hammer the Cincinnati Bengals 44-13 and the San Diego Chargers down the Oakland Raiders 22-14 on Monday Night Football.

** Game time has been set for Florida’s home football game against Kentucky in two weeks; kickoff will be at 12:21pm.

** Andy Murray wins his first Grand Slam title after outlasting Novak Djokovic to win the U.S. Open men’s tennis title on Monday.

** Former Gator and current Cleveland Browns defensive back Joe Haden will be suspended four games by the NFL for reportedly failing a drug test.   He played Sunday but will not be eligible to return to the active roster now until October 8.
