The SEC has released the conference football schedule for 2013.
SEC Commissioner Mike Slive said another “bridge year” was necesary before moving forward with a permanent SEC football schedule and the 2013 schedule is not based on any other previous or future scheduling formats. SEC athletic directors will meet in the spring of next yar to begin formulating schedules for 2014 and beyond on a more permanent basis.
Florida opens SEC play September 21 by hosting Tennessee and then plays consecutive league games at Kentucky on September 28th; at home against Arkansas on October 5th, at LSU on October 12th and at Missouri October 19th before getting a bye week.
The annual Florida-Georgia game will be played on November 2 and the Gators will host Vanderbilt on October 9 before finishing its SEC slate at South Carolina on November 16.
