Gators Drop To Seventh In BCS Poll

After suffering its first loss of the season Saturday, the Florida football team drops from second to seventh in the BCS rankings.

Alabama remains number one after punishing Mississippi State and Oregon, Kansas State and Notre Dame all remain unbeaten and ranked as listed here.   LSU is fifth, followed by Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, Florida State and unbeaten Louisville.

There are not great matchups nationally this weekend but one big one has Alabama playing LSU in Baton Rouge.   Texas A&M will visit Mississippi State and we’ll see if the Bulldogs can bounce back from their loss to Alabama.

Elsewhere in the SEC, Vanderbilt goes to Kentucky; Tennessee hosts Troy; Arkansas hosts Tulsa; Auburn hosts New Mexico State; and Georgia hosts Ole Miss.   South Carolina is idle.
