Giants Sweep Tigers To Win World Series

The San Francisco Giants complete a four game sweep of the Detroit Tigers with a 4-3 win Sunday night in Detroit to win the World Series for the second time in three years.

Marco Scutaro, a free agent to be, singled home the go ahead run in the 10th inning and pitcher Sergio Romo struck out the side in the bottom of the 10th to send the Giants home a winner.

San Francisco third baseman Pablo Sandoval was selected World Series MVP after hitting .500 (8 for 16) in the Fall Classic.

The Giants become the 21st team out of 24 who have gone up 3-0 to go on and sweep a World Series.
