The Pittsburgh Steelers get what could prove to be a costly win on Monday Night Football, more fallout from the non hiring of Phil Jackson and more in our Tuesday Sports News And Notes…
** The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 16-13 in overtime but lost starting quarterback Ben Roethlisberger to a shoulder injury that could keep him out of some games; he will be evaluated later this week.
** Two former Gator basketball players had nice NBA nights last night; Chandler Parsons scores 25 for Houston but the Miami Heat beat the Rockets 113-110 and Joakim Noah has 17 points and 11 rebounds for Chicago in a 101-95 loss to Boston.
** More fallout from the Phil Jackson camp after the legendary coach was not hired by the Los Angeles Lakers to replace the fired Mike Brown. Jackson’s agent ripped the ownership of the team, saying a midnight call to Jackson telling him the team had hired Mike D’Antoni was an unclassy move.
** Kickoff has been set for Florida’s final regular season football game of the year against FSU in Tallahassee; it will be a 3:30pm kickoff either on ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
