** The Miami Marlins, just one year after adding payroll, dump it quickly after reportedly trading shortstop Jose Reyes, pitchers Josh Johnson and Mark Buehrle to the Toronto Blue Jays for some players and prospects.   Davey Johnson was named the National League Manager of the Year while Bob Melvin gets the AL nod.

** The New York Knicks remain the only NBA unbeaten after downing the Orlando Magic Tuesday 99-89; the Magic have now lost five in a row.
