Brissett, Chris Johnson To Transfer From UF Football Program

It has been talked about and speculated for months but it has now come true as the University of Florida announced in a release that quarterback Jacoby Brissett will transfer.

Brissett, a junior, competed for the Gator starting job with Jeff Driskel but after Driskel won the job, Brissett did not play much football for Florida.   Some of the schools Brissett reportedly is looking at include Louisville, West Virginia and Arkansas.   He will have to sit out a year in transferring.

UF also announced that junior running back Chris Johnson will also seek a transfer.   Johnson saw most of his playing time on special teams and he was the player ejected from this year’s Sugar Bowl game for throwing a punch; he played his high school ball at Ocala Trinity Catholic.
