Gator basketball forward Casey Prather is out 10 to 14 days with a high ankle sprain that he sustained inFlorida’s win over LSU on Saturday. The junior, averaging 6.8 points and 3.3 rebounds, was in a boot and on crutches Monday. While the high ankle sprain is a notoriously bad injury to recover from, Gator coach Billy Donovan assures that it is not as severe as it could be.
Prather is just the latest injury for the squad, which includes guard Mike Rosario (ankle), guard Scottie Wilbekin (finger), forward Erik Murphy (rib) and forward Will Yeguete who is getting tested to see if there are more issues than tendinitis in his right knee.
The Gators (12-2, 2-0 SEC) are playing both of the new SEC members this week, traveling to Texas A&M on Thursday to take on the Aggies who upset Kentucky last weekend, with a quick turnaround to host #17 Missouri at home on Saturday afternoon.
