The Kentucky Wildcats are hosting the South Carolina Gamecocks on Tuesday night in Southeastern Conference men’s basketball. The Wildcats are 4-1 in their past five games, including a big win against Texas A&M 72-68 last Saturday in OT. The victory brings Kentucky’s conference record to 6-2, only behind Florida and Ole Miss.
Meanwhile, the Gamecocks are trying to stay out of the SEC basement as they come in with a 2-6 record in the conference. The Gamecocks lost another close one in their last outing against the Georgia Bulldogs 57-56. South Carolina continues to struggle with keeping possession of the ball as they average just over 16 turnovers a game.
Not only do the Gamecocks have to worry about turnovers, but they need to be concerned about Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel. The freshman is averaging almost a double-double on the season and leads the nation in blocks with just over four and a half per game.
The game will be live on ESPN U from Rupp Arena. Tip is set for 9 p.m.
