No. 2 Florida Lacrosse readies to host Lehigh Tonight

Racing out to a 9-0 start to begin the season, the Florida lacrosse team is looking ahead to another big opponent coming up on Saturday, when they travel across the nation for the first time as a program to take on the Oregon Ducks. First up for Florida however, a game against the 2-3 Lehigh Mountain Hawks this evening.

Florida is coming off back-to-back wins over top 15 programs last week, when they handled 9th ranked Loyola 16-7 and number 13 Dartmouth 14-9. Sophomore Shannon Gilroy was a gigantic part of both winning efforts, as the do-it-all midfielder scored eight goals on 11 shots, and posted three draw controls, two ground balls and three caused turnovers. Those efforts led to Gilroy being named the American Lacrosse Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Opening draw tonight against the Lehigh Mountain Hawks is set for 6:30pm, with coverage beginning on ESPN 850/900 at 6:20.
