** Gatornationals roars into Gainesville starting today and running through the weekend; almost all of the biggest names in NHRA racing will be in town to run in Top Fuel, Funny Car and other classifications.
** The Miami Heat win streak is now at 20 after a tough 98-94 win over Philadelphia on Wednesday.
** NFL free agency is in full gear with many big name players coming and going to NFL teams. Wes Welker signed with the Denver Broncos and Reggie Bush left Miami for Detroit. Tampa Bay signed former San Francisco safety Dashon Goldson; Jacksonville cut wide receiver Laurent Robinson and Miami cut veteran linebackers Karlos Dansby and Kevin Burnett.
** The SEC men’s basketball tournament continues today after opening round play yesterday saw Mississippi State and Texas A&M advance with victories.
** Gator football spring practice officially got underway Wednesday, and there will be two open practices for fans on Friday and Saturday.
