The second ranked Florida lacrosse team travels west for the first time in program history to take on the Oregon Ducks Saturday afternoon. At 10-0, the Gators are off to their best start in program history, but face a stiff test in a quick turnaround on the west coast. Jet lag and travel aside, the Gators will have to deal with a 4-1 Ducks team who is just now getting into the meat of their schedule and have rattled off four straight wins.
Coming off an 18-2 domination over Lehigh, these Gators have to feel confident they can beat anyone, and head coach Amanda O’Leary says the team is excited about the experience of traveling to Eugene to take on the Ducks.
But as the win streak continues and the Gators continue to garner national recognition, senior attack Kitty Cullen says the team is taking it one game at a time and living in the moment of the undefeated season.
Opening draw for Florida’s game against Oregon can be heard on ESPN Radio 850/900 starting at at 3:50pm Saturday.
