** The NBA regular season is now over after action Wednesday night. The playoffs start this weekend with Oklahoma City and Miami receiving the top seeds.
** The NFL is set to release its 2013 schedule today.
** The Gator softball team is now 42-5 after blasting FSU 8-0 in five innings in Tallahassee. Alyssa Bache tossed a two hit shutout in the circle for Florida.
** FSU has announced that quarterback Clint Trickett is going to transfer. He had been part of a three person race to be the starter this season for the Seminoles.
** The SEC Tournament will begin in both men’s and women’s tennis today.
** Gator basketball senior center Patric Young had surgery to remove a bone spur in his ankle; he had been seen around campus wearing a boot after completion of UF’s season.
** The Atlanta Braves are cooled off by Kansas City 1-0 while Tampa Bay beats Baltimore 6-2 and Miami loses to Washington 6-1.
