** Gator gymnast Bridget Sloan has been honored as this year’s Honda Sports Award recipient for gymnastics, distinguishing her as the nation’s top collegiate female athlete in the sport.

** Washington Wizards center Jason Collins announces that he is gay, the first active player in one of the U.S. major sports to do so.

** In the NBA playoffs, Brooklyn beats Chicago and Houston downs Oklahoma City to stay alive while Atlanta evens its series with Indiana with a 102-91 win.  Tonight, Golden State is at Denver up 3-1 and Memphis is at the LA Clippers.

** The NHL playoffs begin tonight with Chicago the top seed in the west and Pittsburgh the top seed in the east.

** The Atlanta Braves down Washington 3-2 to win their eighth straight game against the Nationals.
