Gator Baseball Hosts Auburn In Final Regular Season Home Series Of Year

The Gator baseball team, searching to qualify for the SEC Tournament and beyond, will host its final regular season series of the season starting tonight against Auburn.

Florida is 12-12 in SEC play and Auburn comes in with a 9-15 league record.   However, the Tigers have won four in a row and took two of three last weekend against Ole Miss.   The Tigers are 29-19 overall while Florida is 27-23 overall.

The series is important for both teams as each is trying to secure a spot in the SEC Tournament in two weeks and hopefully a spot in an NCAA regional.   Florida is unlikely to host but with a strong finish is probable to go to a regional with its great RPI and strength of schedule numbers.

Friday is also Senior Night as well.   You can hear the games live on Country 103-7 The Gator at 6:55pm on Friday and Saturday and at 12:55pm on Sunday.
