** Oklahoma is the softball national champion after beating Tennessee 4-0 last night in Oklahoma City to sweep the best of three series.
** Sources have told ESPN’s Outside The Lines that Major League Baseball may get full cooperation and testimony from the owner of a now shut down business in Florida that allegedly supplied PED’s to star players like Alex Rodriguez, Alex Braun and Yasmani Grandal. Baseball is said to be considering bans of up to 100 games for some players.
In MLB action last night, Atlanta wins again, downing Pittsburgh 5-4 while Philadelphia pounds Florida 7-3. Tampa Bay loses to Detroit 10-1 as Matt Moore loses for the first time this year on the mound for the Rays.
** Roger Federer is out of the French Open. The men’s second seed falls in straight sets to six seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. On the women’s side, fourth seeded Agnieszka Radwanska loses to five seed Sara Errani.
** In the NHL playoffs, Los Angeles tops Chicago 3-1 to cut their deficit to 2-1 against Chicago. Tonight, Pittsburgh is at Boston with the Bruins up 2-0 in the series.
