** The Miami Heat evened the NBA Finals at one game apiece by blowing out the San Antonio Spurs 103-84. Game 3 shifts to San Antonio.
** Jimmie Johnson wins the NASCAR race at Pocono in Pennsylvania on Sunday. He beat Greg Biffle and Dale Earnhardt Jr.
** Rafael Nadal is the men’s French Open singles champion for a record eighth time; he beat David Ferrer in straight sets to do it.
** The field for the College World Series is still not set. LSU, UCLA and North Carolina State, Indiana and Louisville are in but South Carolina-North Carolina, Kansas State-Oregon State and Mississippi State-Virginia are still to be decided. Games will be played today.
In the MLB, Atlanta downs Los Angeles 8-1 as former Vandy pitcher Mike Minor moves to 8-2 on the year; the Braves start a series in San Diego tonight. Miami downs the New York Mets 8-4; the Marlins start a home series with Milwaukee tonight. Tampa Bay loses 10-7 to Baltimore; the Rays host a series with Boston starting tonight.
** The finals for the NHL’s Stanley Cup are now set as the Chicago Black Hawks will face the Boston Bruins.
