The Florida Gator men’s basketball team has gained its first recruit of the 2015 class in 6’9″ power forward Kevarrius Hayes out of Suwanee High School in Live Oak. Florida. Hayes was listed as the 58th overall prospect by ESPN in its 2015 class, andhe was recently named a Nike Elite 100 player as well. Suwanee head basketball coach Jeremy Ulmer talks about his excitement for Hayes.
Hayes averaged 11.3 points and 15 rebounds per game for the Bulldogs in his sophomore year and he says he’s excited for UF as a whole.
With at least two years before the Gators could see Hayes stepping on the court, Hayes will continue to improve, and Ulmer talks about what he can bring to the Gators.
Hayes not only puts up big numbers on the court, but off the court as well sporting a 3.0 GPA. Although just going into his junior year of High school, the Gators can expect big things from this young man in the future.
