** The Stanley Cup Finals are now even at 2-2 after the Chicago Blackhawks beat the Boston Bruins 6-5 in overtime in Boston on Wednesday. Game 5 is Saturday in Chicago.
** In the College World Series, Oregon State eliminates Indiana with a 1-0 win. Today, North Carolina and North Carolina State play an elimination game.
** The top overall pick in the 2013 Major League Baseball Draft has signed; pitcher Mark Appel from Stanford has agreed to terms with the Houston Astros.
** In MLB action, Tampa Bay stops Boston 6-2; Arizona beats Miami 3-1 and Atlanta tops the New York Mets 5-3. The Rays begin a series at New York today while Atlanta hosts the Mets and the Marlins start a series at San Francisco.
** Police have searched the home of former Gator and current New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez after an “associate” of Hernandez was found dead. Hernandez has not been charged with anything by authorities.
** And for a sixth straight year, Tiger Woods will either not play in, or finish, a tournament. A sore elbow will keep him out of the AT&T National this week.
