The Missouri Tigers entered the Southeastern Conference last season, and their first season could have gone better.
The Tigers finished 5-7, but they were only 2-6 against competition in the SEC.
Tigers Head Coach Gary Pinkel wrapped up the team’s SEC Media Day Tuesday with hopes of a better outcome in year two.
Pinkel says year number two in the SEC should go better than the first.
Pinkel says the SEC is the toughest conference in college football.
Missouri quarterback James Franklin is coming off a disappointing junior season in which he threw 10 touchdowns with seven interceptions. As a sophomore, Franklin threw for 21 touchdowns and just below 3,000 yards.
Franklin says he’s ready to get better and help his team win.
Missouri opens up at home against Murray State August 31.
