Many argue that Nick Saban’s Alabama teams from the past two years were so good they could beat an NFL team. That may be a little farfetched, but the fact remains that Alabama has won the BCS National Championship the last two years.
Despite being upset by Johnny Manziel and Texas A&M, the Crimson Tide found its way back to the top after finishing the season 13-1 and beating Notre Dame in the title game.
Saban might be the most convincing college football coach ever, both on the field and with recruiting. Some compare him Alabama’s legendary coach Paul “Bear” Bryant but Saban downplays the comparison.
Saban says he’s been fortunate enough to have mentors guide him to becoming a good coach.
Winning championships is never easy and Saban knows excellent opponents like LSU will be gunning for the Tide this year.
Saban says one of the most difficult games Alabama has is against LSU.
Alabama will start the season against Virginia Tech August 31, but the more lucrative match up will be against LSU Nov. 9…along with that much anticipated rematch with Texas A&M.
