The United States men’s soccer team used two second half goals to take down Mexico 2-0 Tuesday night in Columbus, Ohio. Forward Eddie Johnson gave the US the lead with his goal in the 50th minute, then mid-fielder Landon Donovan provided an insurance goal in the 78th.
The win means the US will be playing in Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. U.S. head coach Jurgen Klinsmann is happy with the way his team came through.
The Red White and Blue will wrap up their qualifying schedule with October matches against Jamaica and Panama. World Cup play begins June 12th.
