** The Gators will have a new starting safety when they take on Tennessee this Saturday; Jaylen Watkins will replace Marcus Maye who started the first two games. Watkins, who has been playing corner, will still see some action there according to Gator coach Will Muschamp.
** Tennessee, coming off a thumping at Oregon, would like to see more aggressive quarterback play from starter Justin Worley and coach Butch Jones says the quarterback competition is open again as the Vols prepare for the Gators this Saturday.
** The Gator volleyball team hosts in state rival Florida State tonight and you can hear the action live starting at 5:50pm.
** The Tampa Bay Rays keep the wild card lead in the American League with a 6-2 win over slumping Texas. The Rangers lead the second wild card by half a game over Cleveland, a 7-1 loser to Kansas City, who moved to within two and a half games of the Rangers while the Indians are just a half game out. Baltimore is two out and New York is two and a half back.
**Meanwhile Pittsburgh and St.Louis remained tied for first place in the NL Central after both teams lost Monday. Cincinnati is two and a half games back after beating Houston 6-1.
