High School Football Preview Week 4

Week 4 of the local high school football season is underway and tonight several local teams will see action.

Newberry (2-1) @ Chiefland (3-0)- The Newberry Panthers visit Chiefland to take on the Indians. Coming off a 35-12 win over Jefferson last week, the Panthers are looking to carry the momentum toward this game.

Newberry's coach Kepa Sarduy discusses the teams offensive plans.

On the other hand, the Indians are off to an undefeated start, winning their first two games by a margin of 48-0. Their last victory came against Hamilton County last week, winning 26-14.

P.K. Yonge (0-3) @ St.Francis (0-3)– Both teams will be coming into this game still looking for their first victory of the season.  P.K. Yonge is coming off a tough 14-7 loss to Bishop Snyder last week.

The Blue Wave's coach Kent Jonson talks about the familiarity that can be seen during rivalry games.

Johnson also praises the production he has been getting from his running back Anthony Andrews.

Some other area games on Friday will feature Gainesville High at Lake Weir, Buchholz at Fleming Island, Dunnellon at Santa Fe, and Eastside hosting Belleview.
