The Gator football team gained an SEC victory Saturday but also lost its starting quarterback as Florida moves to 2-1 on the year with a 31-17 win over Tennessee.
Gator starting quarterback Jeff Driskel went down early in the game with an ankle injury and he will be out for the rest of the season. Backup quarterback Tyler Murphy came on and did well, especially since he had not attempted a pass in his Gator career.
Murphy gained 84 yards rushing and was 8 of 14 for 134 yards and one touchdown as well.
More details are forthcoming on the game soon.
