What began as a prime time matchup between two undefeated teams turned into the Drew Brees show on Monday, as the quarterback threw for 419 yards and four touchdowns to propel his New Orleans Saints to a 38-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins. New Orleans tight end Jimmy Graham, who caught four balls for 100 yards and two scores talks about the near-flawless performance from Brees.
The Dolphins kept it close in the first half, but a Ryan Tannehill interception led to a Darren Sproles touchdown catch that put New Orleans up 21-10 at the break. The second year quarterback out of Texas A&M finished the game with 249 passing yards along with a scoring toss to Charles Clay, but his four turnovers (3 interceptions 1 fumble) doomed Miami. Tannehill says the offense had to shift their mindset when they fell behind.
The Saints head to the Windy City to take on the Chicago Bears next week, while the Fins host the defending Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens at Sun Life Stadium.
