The third ranked Florida volleyball team won its 10th straight match after sweeping the Alabama Crimson Tide 25-21, 25-16, 25-18 Sunday in Tuscaloosa. The team is now 15-1 on the year and 4-0 in the SEC. The Gators hit .529 on the afternoon, their best hitting efficiency in program history. Before the game, Gators associate coach Dave Boos spoke on how Taylor Brauneis and Taylor Unroe give the Gators an advantage when serving.
The Gators had three players in double-digit kills lead by Chloe Mann with 14, then Simone Antwi with 11 and Gabby Mallette with 10. Head coach Mary Wise says improved technique has helped Mann dominate anywhere on the floor.
Florida next plays 19th ranked Kentucky in the O’Dome for the top spot in the SEC on Friday.
