** In baseball's NLCS, the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the St.Louis Cardinals 3-0 on Monday. The Cardinals still lead the series 2-1 with Game 4 tonight in LA and you can hear it at 7pm on ESPN 850 WRUF.
** Today, Game 3 in the ALCS has Boston visiting Detroit with the series tied 1-1; Justin Verlander pitches for Detroit against Boston's John Lackey.
** Monday Night Football was a low scoring affair but home standing San Diego beats Indianapolis 19-9. The Chargers improve to 4-3 and the Colts fall to 4-2.
** Former Gator linebacker Jon Bostic makes his first career start for the Chicago Bears Sunday when they play Washington. Bostic had been a backup to starter D. J. Williams but Williams is now out for the year with an injury.
**Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long will be the first chairman of the College Football Playoff Selection Committee. The rest of the 13 member panel is to be announced tomorrow; the panel will be responsible for choosing the first teams to be involved in a college football playoff in 2014.
