A top ten college football team remains unbeaten, another tries to remain unbeaten tonight and much more in our Friday Sports News and Notes…

** The Miami Hurricanes remain unbeaten after easing by ACC rival North Carolina 27-23 on Thursday.  The 10th ranked Canes trailed at halftime but came back to win on the road.

** Unbeaten Louisville tries to stay that way when it plays UCF tonight.   Coach Charlie Strong's Cardinals come off a lackluster win over Rutgers last week.

** Grambling State is trying to get things together with its football program.   A second coach has been let go and players walked out and did not show up for practice on Wednesday.   Former NFL player Dennis Winston is the new interim coach.

** SEC Media Days for basketball is over and the Gators are picked to finish second in the SEC behind Kentucky.   Seniors Scottie Wilbekin and Patric Young made the preseason All-SEC Second Team.

** In the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks beat the Arizona Cardinals 36-22 on Thursday night.

** The Gator swim teams both beat Missouri in a dual meet on Thursday.   The meet was in Columbia, Missouri.
