Florida Men’s Basketball Suspends Two More Players

UF men’s basketball head coach Billy Donovan announced at his weekly press conference today that transfers Dorian-Finney Smith and Damontre Harris will be suspended for the exhibition game against Florida Southern and at least one regular season game.

Donovan did not specify a reason for the suspension.

Finney-Smith and Harris will be joining guard Scottie Wilbekin on the suspension list. Wilbekin was suspended earlier in the summer.

No. 10 Florida enters the season with little depth.

Along with the suspended players, the Gators are dealing with injuries; forward Will Yeguete is recovering from knee surgery and others have been in and out of practice because of injury.

Florida plays Florida Southern Friday night in the O’Connell Center at 7 p.m.

The Gators open the regular season against North Florida Nov. 8.
